So today I went for a stroll down to the botanical gardens today cause its like 5 minutes down the road from where I live. So... ROLL ON THE PIX

This is a nice... errr... island type thing... in the middle of a pond. Or maybe that's a lake?

Eew, those are red slider tortises! You can't even tortises even if you tried! They're too bitter and not enough meat in 'em. Same with those ducks. Those definitely didn't come from Peking; they would have been burnt from this weather by now :P

Hahaha... well I wouldn't actually eat tortoises (or turtles for that matter) - the thought of it is kinda gross. As far as the ducks are concerned, that's a shame - they looked complacent and tasty.

It sounds disgusting but if you looked beyond that, turtle soup actually tastes quite good but I wouldn't encourage you to try it.. unless you're into Asian herbal soups. Would you rather eat snails then? Cos the idea of eating snails grosses me out more than turtles (although I have eaten them before). Peking ducks are yummy.. those ducks in the gardens looked ...... bitter to me ;p Then again, when I was a starving poor tourist in Paris, I remember looking at their pigeons and salivating at the thought cos damn, their pigeons are huge and FAT !

Why were you starving in Paris?!? To be starving there is almost criminal, what with all those boulangeries about!
