So, today I have been informed that, when in public, I have a tendacy to act, how to say, like a gigantic brute. Or something like that. James can inform you of the exact language used ( Read more... )

bah. touchy. Let me expand on that: whenever the opportunity arises/presents itself*, no matter how inappropriate it may be, you seem to try the method of smash first, and if that doesn't work, then try other methods.

This type of "hulk-smash" attitude is a major flaw I've heard brought up before. We all have them, I KNOW I have mine. Being aware of them just helps a person develop and grow as they work on them.

*this includes times with malfunctioning/stuck vending machine merchandise, and small children.

I'm not being touchy. :P I am curious and want to make a genuine attempt to better myself.

In my defense, that was the first time that attempt hasn't worked on a vending machine. At work, whenever anything gets stuck, I'm one of the first called to deal with it. As for the kids, well, . . . . I got nothin. :-/

yeah, but usually, if a few shakes don't work, ramming it so onlooker can see the glass bend isn't going to accomplish anything but getting your ass in trouble, and you should have the person go try for a refund.

i'm just saying you should tone it down a bit.

and for the kids, its easy to want to jump to that cause, believe me, I understand. *pick up* SHUT UP. *growl* *Drop* doesn't work.

yeah. wasn't really thinking that one through. in retrospect, I should have stuck with the shaking as opposed to the shoulder rush.

Now, I haven't done that with any kids. Yet. I put that there because, I do think there is a chance I will one day.
I just don't deal well with the whining and crying. Especially the whining. God it just grates my nerves so much. Arrg!

Pfft! They might see you as "brutish" when most people would say "self-assertive" and shit. You sure as hell didn't come of as "brutish" last time I met you :)

I tend to get the same response from people sometimes, that I am too cold or too off-putting sometimes, and that might be right on the point, but I am not going to feign interest or enthusiasm in someone or something that I do not have the slightest care about, just because some people might "not like it." Hell, you can never please everybody, no matter how hard you try. ;)

Of course, when I met you, Shin was there. Hard to act like a brute when he's around. ;)

Smoke a joint and put on some Simpson's episodes. Then, order a pizza later.

Seems to work for some people I know!

Not me though. I'd rather have a beer and some Doom.

I somewhat agree with James. But I don't think in the dynamic way that I'm understanding that he thinks. (I think that made sense). You do tend to puff out your chest and put on the "brute" attitude whenever the chance may come up. I'd have to say the "brute" really comes out of you when you pull out that stupid stick to make a point that doesn't need to be made to that extent.

So you're saying that when I get the chance, I play the size card, but really only act 'brutish' when the sticks come out?

I guess that could be the level of this...sure.

I'm just looking for clarification. If you can put it better, then by all means, please do. :)

Now though I do not know you very well I have to say that you really don't seem like a brute, just that you are bigger and stonger then most people and all they see and think is, "Ahh!! OMG He's Going To Squash Me!!!". Well thats going a little over bourd but you get the idea.

To be truthfull though I'm not as big and I really wouldn't hurt a fly... Ok a person... Ok so people I don't think are stupid beyound belief, I get the same reaction most of the time from the kids at school. "Ahh!! Don't Make Her Angry Or She'll Kill You!!!" I didn't even know people thought that way about me until some of my friends told me.
