When in NFLD last xmas we went Chris' Brother-in-law's sister house. (Got that?) This is a house of PHD academic types. Giant (horrible) new house (soulless) and they seem to like to brag about how well off/smart they are.

The menu:
Prime Rib and veggies.
Nice giant piece of prime rib roasted in the oven.
Plain. Not even salted.
And cooked to well done, all.the.way.through.
To say it was like leather is insulting to leather.
Microwaved frozen veggies and boiled whole potatoes.
No butter. No salt. And they seemed offended when we asked for some.
Driest meal I'd ever had.
(How can you do a roast and not have gravy? Seriously, how?)

It was so bad, and we were so sad, we went out and got our own piece of meat and did another dinner the next night, but we did it right!

I suggest you do the same! Get yer own turkey and do it up right! :)

While I had a lot of fun with Dru and our "Tofurkey Feast", I still missed having a trad. dinner. Let's do one for the House at the end of the month! Free-range bird, yummy sides, and tonnes of mashed potatoes to make Kyla happy :)
