Honestly, not having any children of my own, I don't know if I am qualified to speak on the matter. That being said I thought the plan in principle was a good one. Some of the comments i read from various news websites were shocking. primarily because the ones saying that the government has no right to inform my child of these things are the ones that will likely never talk to their children about these things because the subject makes them uncomfortable. I think that the school informing and providing all the facts in an unbiased manner. Teach it just like you would math or physics, the children will feel more at ease and be more likely to ask questions. It is a shame that we inflict our baggage upon our children.

I'm pretty sure that percentage goes up drastically the smaller the community.
I can't imagine why people think education is bad... knowledge is power people! Giving kids knowledge makes them powerful and more able to resist submitting to things they don't understand and may not want yet, least of all submitting to peer pressure. Crazy talk batman.
It sounds like a lot of "do what I say, not as I did when I was you age" won, which is sad. That only means our kids lose.
