I think I have a serious psychological problem. Whenever I walk past a fire alarm pull handle I have a serious urge to just pull it. I've called 911. It's not as exciting as you might think. Basically, I saw a semi roll over on the interstate, so I pulled over and called 911 on my way over to the truck. They just asked where I was, what the emergency was, and said police would be on the way. Then the police showed up, asked for my account, and then... I went home.

Fire alarms, on the other hand. Really, who hasn't looked at one and been curious?

I used to call 911 weekly. When we needed patient transport from the psych hospital to county, we went through 911. It's not as exciting as you'd think.

I have a similar recurring dream, but it's more like a nightmare. Something bad is always happening, something for which I really need to call 911, but I can never dial the right numbers. I dial like 912, then 811, then 922 or something, and I think I'm usually shaking so it's hard to press the right buttons.

That's about all I remember about those dreams usually.
