Haven't talked to you in forever, glad to hear you are doing well.
I know you live in NY, and I know there are at least 5 districts in NY set to flip party control. Just wondering if you live in one of those districts, and what kind of political environment it is like up there.
Tomorrow is like Christmas for me, I'm glad to see you are pumped for it too.
We're currently in NY-23. I'm pretty sure it's not on any competitive race lists, as I've seen most of them and not seen it listed. But at the same time, there hasn't been any polling done in this district, so the incumbent (a Republican) could VERY easily get swept out. We've got Spitzer up for Governor (doing so well that at lunch the other day, out of about 5 people at the table, I think only one was able to come up with his opponent) and Hillary for Senate, so the thinking is all those big up-ticket Democrats will bring a lot of house seats with them.
My guess is, the 23rd won't go Democrat, but it'll be way more competitive than before. And those other seats in NY probably will, especially with Reynolds in the 20th hit by the FoleyGate thing.
Yeah, either way it'll be a great thing to watch happen, though obviously I'm hoping for a big flip.
Good hearing from you ,glad to know someone else is pumped up (Heather quite obviously doesn't get as into it as I do, though she's been great listening to me rant about this and that
You ARE doing pretty well :) Most people don't take the time or the effort to find out about this stuff, much less someone who can't actually do anything about it. You've been very intelligent and insightful asking about all this stuff, believe me.
Yaay! Adam voted! Did you get one of those stickers that says you did?
I'm also kind of excited because I actually get to vote in a booth tomorrow, rather than absentee. Looking forward to finally pulling that lever *grin*
