You cannot always have happiness, but you can always give happiness.  ~Author Unknown

I wish I were happy all the time, but sometimes I’m not. I don’t think anyone is happy all the time. Whenever I feel not-so-happy, I like to share happiness with others because that always helps me feel better. I don’t know why that is exactly, but it works!

I am going to do the opposite and tell you what is making me extremely UNhappy right now.

I am trying to learn some new coding tricks that I KNOW are possible, and will make my new website totally awesome. It is slow and frustrating going. Stuff does not work. Hours and hours to get nowhere. I am yelling bad words loudly, over and over again.

I bring this up because no matter how bad it gets, you can always step back and go "you know... it's going to be OK."

Thank you! I'm listening to the Conan the Barbarian soundtrack now, so am feeling the proper mood being supported. It was Frank Sinatra before, and there is nothing worse than having Frank crooning placidly along while the vein pops out of your forehead. GRAARR!!

It was George Burns in the movie Oh, God who explained best to me why you have to be unhappy sometimes to know what happy is.
I am lucky that my unhappys are brief punctuations to my happys.
Alex is having his first day of daycare today, and he is going to make many friends! He will also probably sleep even more soundly!

Well, to get all philosophical on you...
Whatever you give your attention to, that is what you attract and enhance in your life. So, by turning away from the things that make you sad, and focusing on the things that make others happy, you're bringing happiness into your own life as well.

Practically speaking, it's because you're a good person, and good people feel good about themselves when they are able to make other people happy, which in turn makes them happy. :-)

And here's my total point of joy and rapture for the week -- I've been trying and trying to find a costume for a "Golden Age of Hollywood" ball, totally unable to find anything in my size, until I happened upon searching for gowns for female impersonators and drag queens. Gorgeous, gorgeous, GORGEOUS clothes in MY SIZE! (If only I had a spare $225 for THIS beauty...)

I LOVE it when you get all philosophical girl. Almost as much as when you laugh.....;-)

Thanks for the affirmation and encouragement. I SO needed it today and now I'm here grinning like an idiot thanks to you.

:::hugs:::

As for the dress.....I cannot wait to see what you end up with and I demand you post pictures of you in it okay?

If you don't, I will HOUND you with cat related questions the next time I see you.

How's that for a threat?

My son lost his first tooth while we were on vacation in Hawaii. The Tooth Fairy left him a shark tooth necklace, along with the tooth and a note saying to give the tooth to his mother, since she's a scrapbooker.

1. I'm happy I got to meet the Rhona in the past year, if only to prove you're not as insane as you come across in your writing.

2. I have a book out in 15 days.

3. I'm married to one of the best women on the planet.

4. I'm too sexy for this post, too sexy for this post, too sexy for most!

#4 has me laughing.... because my son in law sings "I'm too sexy for my hair" sometimes - while shaving his head. (He's going bald and it really does look distinguished on him. Sets off his big blue eyes).
