I Am Sick

I have missed your posts and comments and am way behind on everything because I’m sick. Going to the Dr today. Will catch up soon I promise. I miss you guys, but am just too damned miserable to stay sitting up for any length of time. I think it’s the flu because of the sudden onset respratory crap, but I don’t know for sure yet.

Everyone I know has been slammed by the flu this year. I mean everyone! My ER guy grumbled. "We expected a much better result than we've seen from this year's flu shot."

Take it easy. It's a doozy. Mine was 2 weeks ago, and I am still a little groggy. It's the damn cough. That's where it comes in, ya know, washing hands won't do beans when it comes to the flu.

Dude, there was even an article in the paper about how this year's flu shot didn't cover its bases! They had some well-explained reason for the oversight, but basically, the strain of flu that's causing all the trouble this year got left out of the formulation.

I have NEVER known this many people to get the flu. Never!

I'm sorry, that's not much consolation to Rhona, but I mean it's been running reports from the cleaning lady, my family's friends, my family, me (105.4! fun! that was the visit to the ER) -- yeah we got us a Bust Shot. And not like silicone, either. I'm told they may revise the entire flu mfg. process for next year, they missed the mark that bad.

I'm sorry you're so sick, Rhona! This has been my sickest year in a long time. Twice I was seriously under the weather. I'm not a big proponent of flu shots but people I know that get them never get the flu. I am considering it for next year because I can't allow mysef to be soooo that sick again.
