That is reallty annoying. Why they didn't tell you before? Sounds like bad information to me.

I have a similar technical solution at home: cable TV, phone, internet. And, exactly like you, I save my favourite shows like House or Prison Break. A very curious detail: two weeks ago I had a similar problem: I taped two shows and those shows were erased some time after. I wonder if the technology is the same...

I hope you will be able to find a good solution to solve all the problems you mentioned!

There has to be a way to transfer it to the computer, it's just a hard disk after all. There just has to be a way!

I agree with vix, there has got to be a way to transfer the shows to the computer...try a google search :D that's where I always start.

yay, for nice mini-holidays! I love this 4 day weekend. Did you have a march break the week before? I just came back to work from march break and four days later we get a 4 day weekend :D
