I'd have been a bit surprised if he had been in it, actually (and am a bit surprised it was even a possibility). His and Elizabeth's story is kind of done as of At World's End. I could see a small role or cameo, but then that wouldn't be as big a deal to be turning down to spend more time with his girlfriend.
Oh, I do know what you mean. Yes, their story was pretty much wrapped up in the last movie but personally, I really don't think I'll like the overall movie just being Jack-centric. I know that sounds ridiculous being that he's the MAIN CHARACTER but that's just how I function. I tend to favor the sidekicks - Ron, Wilson, Will... So, I'm sure I'll see it but I'm not going to be salivating at every new scoop for the movie. I'll live. ;)
I guess it'll be cool to see Geoffrey Rush again but honestly, I feel his story's been said and done as well.
I'd like to at least see a little bit of Orlando Bloom in the 4th movie. Because while I like the series, I share the opinion that a Jack-centric movie might be a bit much for me. So I'm disappointed, certainly, but not altogether surprised.
Ha, really. The third one really pushed the envelope (in the is-this-really-necessary department). I think the first one was my favorite but I don't mind watching the others from time to time.
Heh, I liked that you summed up your feelings with icons. I didn't even know they were making a fourth film! I think it's a waste to make a fourth one, I don't know... I thought three was enough. Plus, if they have no Will (and in addition, Will/Elizabeth), it's obviously made of fail already, lol.

I totally agree, in both respects. Idk, it could be amusing and I'll see what the premise is but I'll definitely miss Will, W/E and their interactions with Jack.
Wow, a fourth film? I didn't even know they were making one. I can see why they aren't planning to bring Will back as I agree his and Elizabeth's story was pretty much tied up in the third one, but it will feel weird and odd without Will (or Elizabeth) being there to me. I love the three of them as a group more than any character on their own.

I believe I heard a rumor once but my ears perked up when someone mentioned that the announcement was made during SDCC. I heard the no Will news yesterday while driving back from visiting friends.

Do you recall how they left things with Jack. I'm certainly no PotC expert and don't recall details as I do with HP but to me, I didn't feel this major need for a fourth film due to Jack's 'story' being left so up in the air.

Yeah, I totally feel the same way which is why I'm more bothered by this than others. I guess I'm just a trio fan at heart. :)

I do hope we'll see Geoffrey Rush again, though.
