Zodiac or The Number 23?

(Just to note, while I love scary & suspense flicks, I don't prefer slasher/gore that's supposed to be "scary" - especially if the entire movie is just that. If that helps at all.)

Echoes the recommendation! I like suspense thrillers and Zodiac was really good. I haven't seen the other one but it was pretty universally reviled by critics and movie goers.

Oh thanks! I'm glad I didn't go in cold and decide to rent "The Number 23" then. Thanks for your recommendation of "Zodiac" too! :)

I haven't seen The Number 23, so I don't know about that one (although I do want to see it), but I did like the Zodiac. It's very long, though, so be prepared for that. There were a few moments where it was suspenseful, but it was mostly about solving the crime rather than showing gore or anything. I personally didn't find it very scary at all.

Oh riiiiiight! I knew there was a reason I didn't get to see it in the theater! (Not that I didn't *want* to see it but the one time we were close to buying tickets to see it, my friend said the movie would let out too late for her for that particular night - she was tired. I think I tried another time too but the show times didn't fit our schedule.)

I do like crime-solving plots too so even if it's not really scary I think (hope) I'll like it anyway. I'm going to go see if I can pick it up now. Thanks!

I'm a little late to the party, but I'd definitely go with "Zodiac". It's a tiny bit long, but worth it. And of course there's Jake. :)

I've heard very good things about Zodiac, which I'd also like to see, but everyone in the world seems to think 23 is just a complete waste of time for everyone involved.
