This is the story of how my religion came to be…because it is so often misunderstood, I will try to explain my best. I really hate being considered not spiritual and even atheist because that is not true at all. And I am very strong in what I do believe. So first a history ( Read more... )

Rob, you really wowed me there. Nice post. You have a stunning talent of articulation and you use it in such a way that, while not forcing your ideas and opinions on the reader, you passively convince that your way has immense validity. Right on, IB. Seriously though, you made me think, and that's what I like in a writer. NOT that they are agreeable or of my own opinion, but that they defend with reason. It's funny that I read this now... Im having a bit of a religious...curiosity? disconcordance?... at the moment. I've been raised not to question religion, but now I'm starting to wonder and wander. I still hold the firm beliefs I always have, the historical evidence and the existence of God and such, but my views on the church have changed. Thanks for inspiring thought.

I don't know how to properly respond to this post...but feel that I should...being a strong Christian myself. I am not in any way telling you what you should believe, but I read how you analyzed different religions and such...but you're missing out on one very important truth. It's NOT about the "religion", it's about the "relationship". Yes...there are many corrupted religions and churches everywhere...I won't deny that. But it's all about the God of the Universe loving you enough to make the most important sacrifice of all times, which was sending His own Son to die for you ( ... )

I think I may have come off too cynical like I hate the Christian religion or something, which is not true at all. I understand where you're coming from, and I appreciate you caring enough to post. Love ya too.

I too, read through the whole thing.
I know we've talked about this stuff before, but it's cool to see everything all laid out and ordered and all...
Anywho, you know kinda what I think, so there's no sense commenting on here
