The three Early Girls are only 12 inches high, but already loaded with blossoms on every side. Should have green globes pretty soon, then blushing pink...my imagination reels to the thought of home-grown tomatoes.

Steady on, old girl. They are only blossoms yet.

I'll bet the birds can't wait for them to grow. Ha.

And a "ha" right back atcha. Tomatoes are so close to their weedy ancestors (their "roots" if you will), that the birds aren't interested. However tomato worms (the progeny of moths, I believe) are an ever present menace, and always voracious. Guess the fact that tomatoes are weeds at heart doesn't bother them.
