Special Friend

That special adult friend was, for me, my great-grandmother Selma. my oldest grandson has asperger's--high functioning autism. he bonded to my mother, and is my special buddy. when my mom died, the pastor gave the congregation opportunity to say something about mom, or the woman they remembered. grandson took the mike and said, "it just won't be fun around here, anymore".

i had to give kudos to my mom for generating such courage in him....great grans are the best...
