babe- what happened to prompt your mom's about face? one of your last posts was 180 from what you are describing now?

And my personal opinion is that it might be moving too fast, because god forbid something should happen between you and doug, what would you do then for a living situation? Not criticizing, just caring.

Just as a random side note, what did you do that caused the mom's 180? Once she's cooled down, sit down and talk to her. Show her the budget that you worked out. Also, prioritize the things that you have to pay for. Do you really need to set aside that much money for cosmetics and or hair supplies? Do you really have to have a cell phone to survive? What about a smaller plan so that you really only use your cell for emergencies? Think about the expenses you incur, and how many of them you really need. If you have to do without, it gives you great motivation to move to the next part of your life, and helps you to value what you have. I remember you telling me that you have lived in a bubble all of your life. At some point in time, that bubble will probably break. If you allow it to open instead of having it shatter, chances are you will come through it better
