There are lines upon lines. Boundaries. Borders. From wild, crazy curving ones, to subtle, misty ones. The edges of a child's faith, the hard cold stone of a jaded heart.

Not all are easy to cross, the wide raging river that separates two souls, the small membrane between faith and denial.

But it's instantaneous, when borders are threatened, even trespassed over. Chaotic War ensues.

As humans, we enjoy the fight, rise to it. but sometimes, as humans, we cower from it, fear it, run from it. We tire of picking up our weapons and slaughtering demons and angels alike.

The hardest of those boundaries, and those all engulfing wars, is the wars within ourselves. There are no armies. no troops to command.
