[It's another normal day in your high school Mayfield.

However you may notice that an English teacher has been replaced with a short blonde Canadian. Which explains why there is a Canadian flag up next to the American one now.]

Pronouns. [She glances at the book as people walk in]

At least these can't change that much.

[Oh hey, class is here. She ( Read more... )

[Starts writing. Is still writing at the end of class. Has filled the entire notebook she's working in by that point. Hands it in unfinished. Becca's literacy with the written word is not great--sum tings r spelld lyk dis, and you can kiss punctuation goodbye. But the whole thing is a very heartfelt study on the nature of morality regarding the duty of a person capable of seeing the future to try and affect that future. There are a few epic fails--namely, the idea that once seen, the future =cannot= be changed, and anything stemming from that premise.

[She'll get the paper back with a C-]

Very interesting. I had to dock a lot of marks for grammer and spelling though.

Remember, dictionaries are your friends.

So, are you from a world where people can see the future, or is this all speculative?

[Becca just...stares at her grade. For a while.]

........I got a C?!?!???!??!?!?!?!?!

[Disproportionate pride, go! This is a first--it's not an F! She beams like she's won the lottery.]

......My world? I can see the future, yeah....but nobody else can. I'm...on my own.

[Which is why you're getting a weird look]

You seem very happy for a C-

[She sighs]

....I'm never going to get used to this "other word" stuff.

[Damn! Another not-drone teacher! Another class Junpei needs to stay awake in. Maybe he SHOULD just resign himself to actually sleeping at night now that he doesn't have an excuse to stay up all night and fight monsters anymore.

Anyway, Junpei's paper is about how underestimated the value of human life is. He's definitely not the most eloquent writer, but he tries his best to explain that he believes people do not understand how much they need each other until they are torn apart.]

[She'll hand it back with a B+]

Interesting thoughts.

The value of human life is underestimated quite a bit.

[A B+? Holy crap, maybe Junpei should put effort into his work a little more often, if this is what he gets for it!]

Yeah...most people don't realize how important somebody is until they're gone.
