I'm doing work study in the library, I'm bored, and I got this from Lisa. Kudos to you, Lisa. :)
1. Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate? Definitely hot chocolate. Especially with peppermint in it. Egg nog is disgusting. It's even worse when I have to make egg nog lattes. Ewww...
2. Does Santa wrap presents or just set them under the tree? I don't believe in Santa. So there.
3. Colored lights on tree/house or white? There are no lights on my house because I live in a school apartment that costs me thousands of dollars each year and it would be a headache to climb up on the roof to string lights.
4. Do you hang mistletoe? Maybe I will one day... ;)
5. When do you put your decorations up? Well, at my home in WA, the lights go up the day after Thanksgiving. And they're both white and colored. ;) The tree doesn't go up to middle December, though... if we're lucky.
6. What is your favorite holiday dish? Everything. Everything. I will eat it all.
7. Favorite Holiday memory as a child? All the times when we would light the fireplace, turn off all the regular lights, and turn on the Christmas tree. All the lights would be scintillating and blinking. Then we would all climb on the couch together and sing Christmas carols. I also loved spending the night at my cousin's. :D
8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa? I never believed in Santa. Cuz I wanted to eat the cookies myself. lol jk. But I still never believed in Santa and I still eat all the cookies.
9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve? Nope
10. How do you decorate your Christmas Tree? Dad does the lights and Mom does the silver garlands... Then we all put up the red and gold ball ornaments... then our random collection of everything else. We each put up our own "First Christmas" ornament and we have the best angel in the world that sits on top of our tree. She is made out of a paper towel roll and paper and somehow looks a lot like me...
11. Snow! Love it or Dread it? I love snow. I wish it would snow. "I'm thinking of a gray Christmas..."
12. Can you ice skate? Mostly I just like going super, super fast. I have figure skates but I use them like hockey skates.
13. Do you remember your favorite gift? Marie gave me this amazing collage of us. It's adorable and it's still hanging in my room.
14. What’s the most important thing about the Holidays for you? Being with those I love--especially Jesus. :)
15. What is your favorite Holiday Dessert? Pumpkin pie, candy cane cake, all the candies we make, and gingerbread houses.
16. What is your favorite holiday tradition? Reading Luke 2 as a family before we open gifts, taking Jesus out of the drawer and putting Him in the navtivity scene on Christmas day... Going to Summerwind and looking at all the light decorations everyone else did.
17. What tops your tree? HA. My angel. The one I made in kindergarten.
18. Which do you prefer, Giving or Getting?: Giving. It's so fun to shop for gifts and to find the perfect thing for people.
19. What is your favorite Christmas Song? Ee... Hard. Too hard. I like one by Stacie Orrico that is totally escaping my mind... We 3 Kings, Thou Didst Leave Thy Throne, and all the BOB songs. etc. etc. etc.
20. Candy Canes? YES. They are candy with a story. Whaddyaknow. They are candy with weapon powers. I use them to hit people with. Whaddyaknow. They are candy that tastes amazing in hot chocolate and mochas. Whaddyaknow. Why in the world is this random question the last one??
