Here is my quest to try to do routine tasks in a way that's a little cheaper and perhaps a little more eco-friendly.

Expense: Gas for travel to work
Alternative: Bike to work

Well, I finally did manage to hang all the pictures today.  Yay!  The screws worked so much better than nails.  There were 1 or 2 places where I messed up drilling a pilot hole and left a hole in the wall, but I managed to cover those up.

So, today is (I promise myself) the day that I finally put up all my pictures on the wall.  Yay!  I don't know why I have put it off for so long.  I guess it kind of had to wait till a weekend since after work I accomplish very little that's not going to the gym or pool or cooking dinner.  Occasionally shopping for food.  Sometimes all three!

So today I finally stopped being lazy and rode my bike to work.  I tried a new route that I think will be much better.  I basically ride through my neighborhood, then through a park, then an industrial zone, and then to the stadium, over the bridge, and through downtown to the office.  The ramp on the downtown side of the bridge is open (so no piss ( Read more... )
