Today's is from the BBC: 'New lead' in Hoffa disappearance. Yes, Hoffa, as in that Jimmy Hoffa. It's been about 30 years since he disappeared. So the crazy, crazy journal competition that I just finished (and barely survived) last week had very strict rules. We could only refer to the materials in our packets. Sometimes I read the New York Times and think, whoa, I'm definitely not in the demographic they're going for. So that's what I felt when I read this ridiculous article about summer homes. It's not just the assumption that everyone has a summer home, and therefore everyone can relate to the plight of these folks, although that's annoying. ( Read more... )

Just saw a pop-up web ad for The Economist magazine.

The tag line was "Arguably the most important magazine in the world."

Just finished by Constitutional Law exam-- only two more to go! I alternate between feeling fairly confident and then freaking out because I might have forgotten to discuss something. I gave my oral argument yesterday. I got good feedback from my instructor and the other two "judges". Not only that, but one of my classes is OVER!

But the even better news, is that 9 to 5 is being released on DVD! w00t!

I'm a sucker for personality quizzes. Even the pseudoscience ones in fashion magazines. Something about revealing your own true nature draws me in every time.
