Thanks so much for the birthday wishes, my dear. {hugs} I have spent the weekend doing celebratory... packing. Did I mention that I hate, hate , HATE packing? Let me take a momemt to do so -- I hate packing. :)
I wish you best of luck with your taxes; I personally cringe all the way through the process every year.

Turbo-taxed. Got a refund. Got some work done on the boy's car and put the rest up for his fall tuition. Sigh. You should not be allowed to do taxes. If I still had the pic of me and Turbo, I'd send it to you again.
I shouldn't be allowed to do them? Does that mean you'll come and do them next year? I have a whole extra bedroom and everything....
Well, I tried paying someone else to do them (actually to do my Dad's estate, which included some California stuff) and what it got me is 2+ years' worth of letters back and forth with the IRS, some of them threatening in tone - I don't think I could stand that on a regular basis.
My list of things that I need to finish my taxes only has 7 things on it, and I have 6 days left to finish it, so it should all work out well in the end. Right? Right.
Pllbhbbbttttt, I was waiting on 2 things - the master stock trader spouse to figure out what he'd actually DONE in 2005 ("I know there's a copy of it somewhere here....") and a corrected 1099 from from the bank. I spent exactly 4.5 hours untangling the stock mess "Honey, you DO know we have to pay tax on capital gains from selling these stocks, right? So you need to TELL me when you sell this much, so I can plan ahead" [like I actually would....])
