Yes, the tree with the yellow foliage is an aspen. This was my first time seeing one, so I never understood why so many people seemed enamored of them. I understand now. I assumed they'd be like poplar and birch trees up close, but the leaves were really thick and pretty in person (and I don't particularly care for yellow fall foliage, ginkgo excepted) and I loved the scent.

Is the yellow tree an aspen tree? I love the leaves but we have few of those trees around here.
