Another weekend off! ie, two days off instead of my typical one. and I'm starting it off with a mere 4 hours of sleep last night, in which I lay awake in bed and fretted about things nightmarishly. At work, they were all, "you spent 3 hours obsessing over something that [at work] never causes anybody any problems?" and I'm all, "yes, shut up, ( Read more... )

Giger can be cheerful! Just remember to put pink lipstick on some of the figures and smiley stickers on the alien-y things to lighten things.
I'm glad you're singing the optimistic song. I keep seeing people say that they are on the move out of sparkly fandom but so far everyone seems to keep getting tripped up by new bunnies on the way out.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for lots and lots of Trickyfish with perhaps a cameo by Olga, Chris's parole officer. (Blame silveryscrape)

You're so much more encouraging than my mom, who looked at the possible posters and said, "oh god, you're not going into that goth phase again, are you?"

I'm trying to be optimistic. I do like it here a lot, even if the subject matter itself depresses the crap outta me (and not for the obvious reasons, either, and they're reasons I tend not to talk about because I REPRESS!), and it's not like ALL the subject matter depresses the crap outta me, because I'll always have my JoLa. my fabulous drunken JoLa. drink on, JoLa, drink on.

mmm, trickyfish.

Trickyfish and JoLa are my true loves. Somehow, I'm still totally convinced on JoLa. I blame you. And I find this fandom wonderfully encouraging of selective memory.
You could always start wearing black lipstick, just to keep your mum on her toes. It goes surprisingly well with coral eyeshadow.

Olga, Chris's parole officer

You know, I saw her at CFTC - I call her Big Red, uncreatively enough. :)

I'm with you in that 'all or none' boat, I think... the ONE death story I wrote killed me... because JC was left alone. Except, in that, I think he'd gone long before anyone else.

And now I go, because eep, it's 10a and I have 10394813098341 things left to do before leaving town in... 4 hours. *meep*

Enjoy your weekend off :)

pssst--I'm still hoping you and I can do that FatLambs and TrickC thing we sorta kinda but not really talked about *g*

For TrickC/FatLambs written by the two of you, I would seriously consider flying over there, kidnapping the two of you, and locking you in a room together until you wrote it. I'm just mentioning.

I'm probably the only person left in fandom who's cool with Lance, but I am, a very lot.

I'm cool with Lance. I'm cool with *all* of them. I think the only thing any of them could do which would really make me cross is die.

Not to be excessively morbid or excessively random, but think of all the great ghost stories you could write. ^_~

It's the only thing I can think of which would stop me writing popslash instantly. I couldn't make myself write AUs where it didn't happen, and I couldn't write with just the four left behind.

I think I agree, in that it gives me a shiver to even read that. Sure, I can write about it and tinker and whatnot, and I can read deathfic from others, but we're talking fic here. Anything else and I'll be under the bed, thanks...

And I have three active trickyfish bunnies: the humourous black comedy one, the omgwe'revirgins high school au one, and my newest one, tentatively titled "Out."

What do you need to write these? If it's within my power, I'll do it! Aw, hell, I just looked at the rest of your list o' bunnies, and I greedily want them all!

Time! Time is all I need! I need to go back to school, is what I need to do. I just don't write as much without the threat of essays and exams hanging over my head. But I'm gonna see if I can write "Out" this weekend, at least. It shouldn't be TOO long.

uhm, i know i've been distracted by bsb happenings lately, but i swear, my lance-love is as strong as ever! i didn't even know people weren't cool with him these day.... what's up with that? no, wait, don't tell me. i don't think i want to know!

Eh, it's nothing bad. I think it's the nosejob, or his "hollywood appearances" or whatever. I dunno. I still like him, and hope he gambles and drinks again where I can can watch. Brilliant, I say!

Seriously, I think the Celebrity Blackjack finals were the best thing ever! He asked for a big straw and Jason Alexander called him a size queen. It was fantastic. I am all about life of leisure Lance.
