Should be sleeping. Had an exciting day in Toronto, which ultimately lead me to a moment of enlightenment where I realised what I want to do with my life: write romance novels. Oh, wouldn't that be fun.

So, yeah, should be sleeping, but then found this in nopseud's journal:

Ask me any one question about my writing, then post this in your LJ, so I can ( Read more... )

See, I suck at asking smart questions, and mostly I'd just want to know when you're going to write a sequel to such and such and when you're going to write more trickyfish and other selfish things, so, um. yeah.

Dude, screw smart questions! Anything on your mind, ask. I find sequels strangely easy, but it never occurs to me to write a sequel, so you never know what it might lead to. I'm just saying ...

Oh, you know I want the MPREG sequel. Chris! Lance! Baby Bernadette! Heh.

But also, I've always wondered where the Chris and Lance of Two Straight Guys went from there. How did things go when vacation was over and they went back to the real world? There's no way Chris got over his issues that fast, so what were the bumps in the road? And dude, what was it like when Chris brought Lance to his mom's for dinner? Hee.

And here's my other question for you: what's your own favorite of your Trickyfish stories? (wow, ignore that horrible grammer) Which one is the definitive trickyfish for you?

I love MPREG. I always thought there was enough going on there to carry a sequel.

Oh, wouldn't that be fun.

Don't know. Would they be gay romance novels? *g*

Gah! Only one? But there are so many things I want to ask.

Ok. Here it goes, a tough one. When it comes to characters, are there any particular traits that you always include for each guy while writing? Some people always write Lance as snarky or Justin as earnest-successful. Do you strive to have your characters always have a set of core personality traits, or do they take on the different fanon perspectives depending on the story?

ok, this is cheesy-writerish, but how do most stories come about? Do you get a scene in your head and feel the urge to get a story around it? Do you find a particular idea and run with it? Do you get a more physical sense or poetic/lyrical/wordish sense from it? Or maybe just how the words sound in your head?

Ok, shutting up now.
