Title: Still My Heart
Pairing: Heechul/Gunhee
Rating: PG
Summary: When did you realize you love me?
A/N: This wasn't the fic I thought I would finish next. "fic" is an exaggeration tho this is a drabble tbh
“When did you fall in love with me?”
“That question makes no sense. It's called 'falling in love' for a reason it's a culmination of things.”
“Okay, when did you realize you loved me?”
A light slap to the side of his face caused Heechul's finger to slip on the screen of his phone sending his game character careening off the edge of a cliff.
“Hey!” Heechul yelled, dropping his phone on his lap, blinking with a brightly colored Game Over screen, to slap Gunhee's face in retaliation, “You made me die. What the hell?”
“You just looked so serious,” Gunhee said, laughing.
“Of course, I was so close to finally beating that level asshole!” the reminder to himself made Heechul start slapping Gunhee with renewed vigor.
Gunhee just laughed harder.
“You're such a freak,” Heechul complained, glaring at Gunhee with his arms crossed.
“You love me,” Gunhee said, leaning against Heechul and grinning.
Heechul was about to retort when his brain finally processes exactly what Gunhee said.
Oh.
Heechul looked over at Gunhee who had picked up Heechul's phone.
“I'll get you back to where you were,” Gunhee said confidently even though he sucked at video games.
“Forget the game,” Heechul said, taking the phone from Gunhee and putting it on the coffee table.
“But-”
Heechul shut Gunhee up with a kiss.
“Like I would remember that...what about you though?”
“Oh, I remember it very clearly.”
Gunhee watched in awe at Heechul on stage. It was easy to forget when hanging out with Heechul normally. Heechul as Gunhee saw him was loud, often crass, silly, contemplative, more self-conscious than he thought, and a million other things. It was so easy to forget that this is what Heechul was made for.
Heechul quickly, so fast that only Gunhee noticed, caught Gunhee's eye and smiled as he sang his line.
Heechul really was a star. He wasn't just Gunhee's star though he was that for a lot of people, but Gunhee still loved him.
Well, shit.
The realization that Gunhee loved Heechul, every little bit of him, made him a little sentimental when he was touching up Heechul's hair before he went back on stage.
“What?” Heechul asked, catching Gunhee's eyes in the mirror.
Gunhee looked down at Heechul's hair, threading the softness though his fingers. “You're amazing.”
“Of course I am,” Heechul said boldly, blissfully ignorant of Gunhee's epiphany.
Gunhee snorted, playing off Heechul's ego like he usually does.
Still, when Heechul was about to go back on stage Gunhee got Heechul against a hidden corner and kissed him hard like he knew Heechul liked.
“...and?”
“Well, since you're not sharing neither am I.”
“How do I know if I tell you first you won't withhold your answer from me?”
“Because I'm not you! Hey, so you're admitting you do remember when you realized you loved me.”
“Loved being the operative word there.”
“Come on. I love you.”
“Shut up. I love you too, fucking weirdo.”
