*confession* So back when it was all new and shiny and had cool music (ok, mainly just the music) I used to watch Smallville. Thankfully I grew out of that phase (which hardly ever happens with me) but I think it was thanks to Jensen being awful. No no no no just no. Do not watch Smallville, Tom Welling's teeth alone should put you off.

Also not even Michael Rosembaum is in it any more and need I remind you of Lana?

Lana's gone! We have Lois Lane instead! I know nothing about her but she has pretty hair.

You're right about Michael Rosembaum though. How can they have Superman without Lex?

Yes but to watch it from the beginning means you have to watch a LOT of Lana. LOTS of her basically being fail.

I like the beginning. The middle was SHIT, and the end looks kinda cool. But I missed so much I think I would be lost.

Plus Lana was annoying (and somehow got SUPER POWERS from the clip I saw the other day. WTF?)

I've been dragged kicking and screaming into this fandom (watching it for the first time, currently on S3), so sorry. Can't help. I want other people to experience the same shame.

(It's just so bad. But it's addicting.)

The first two seasons are made of crazy and subtext liek whoa; the third season is actually good on it own. Watch those, then the first 4 episodes of Season 4 then skip to season 8! This is my advice.

I totally went into the smallville deep end about a year ago and it spawned 40k fic before it let me go.
