My mother and I saw David Sedaris last night at the Linda Chapin Theater here in Orlando. As far as interesting performances go, his reading was more entertaining than any other theater-type production I've ever seen. I saw the Strangers With Candy movie this evening. It was just as bizarre and entertaining as I'd hoped it would be. Plenty of veiled vulgarity and homoerotica. I love that Amy Sedaris thinks there's nothing funnier than putting on a fatty suit. Damn, I would love to have her over for dinner. I think I'd make Thai food.

Walking through PUBLIX today, I found myself in the canned goods/foreign foods aisle standing next to a middle-aged well-dressed woman. No, that's not the good part of the story.
