Sounds like Christmas came a little early for you this year. Thank God for the job and don't think too much about it. Temp jobs are a great way to discern what you like to do and what you don't like to do. Granted you'll be the grunt for a little bit but remember that the next "newbie" will be the grunt and you will a little higher on the chain.
I started my first job out of college as a temp. I started temp'ing in April and was hired full time in June. The work force is totally different in the North than in the South. I know from various experience that larger companies discern if you are a fit for their company and vice versa via temp agencies. I say be thankful for the job and enjoy the Christmas season.
