Amber was shaking her head over and over again, trying to gain her freedom back at the moment. She kind of did a lot of things to struggle against people around her. Her active hands trying their best to shove Victoria away, while her feet couldn’t stop themselves from wiggling all over that one of her shoes flew across the room in a perfect arc-shaped.
“Gosh Amber, grow up a bit, will you??” Victoria sighed, feeling all annoyed as she had to stabilize her by having Sulli and Luna gripped her shoulders tightly.
“Yah! Get off me! Sulli that’s too strong don’t touch me there or I-- awww Luna stopppp!”
Sulli let out a small laugh, practically ignoring the death glare she had received from the person in front of her, “You’re being ridiculous, unnie. You should try to relax.”
Amber grimaced before she decided to stop slamming her body against all of them. She was tired, and she believed that nothing in the world could beat the power of three persistent girls surrounding her at one time.
“Unnie, can’t you just stop? Sulli said I look ridiculous.”
Another voice responded her. The youngest of them just giggled from across the room. She had decided to keep herself in a safe distant way from the chaotic mass that Amber had successfully done.
“You really do, unnie. You look perfectly ridiculous.”
“Shut up Krystal, you’re not helping at all.”
Victoria rolled her eyes before doing back what she intended to do earlier. She pulled her chin up, applying the skin moisturizer all over her face and neck evenly. She put the primer later, simply using her soft fingers to smooth it over.
“Eww unnie, have you even washed your hand?”
Victoria let out a bitter smile. She tried her best not to pinch Amber in the cheek just because she didn’t want to ruin the steps she had carefully planted on her skin. Not after the precious hours they had wasted to make her sit still.
Victoria opened the concealer tube, putting a small amount of its contents on her back hand before putting it under Amber’s baggy eyes. She continued with the foundation afterwards, and lastly applying slight powder on her face to make it look not too heavy.
“You should be grateful they had this kind of things to help you out. People out there don’t really like having zombie walking around on their party.”
Amber snorted, “I guess they don’t like seeing a stupid clown around, either.”
That earned laughs filled of loud screaming from the other girls.
“Okay. Now smile.”
Amber lifted her head, “Have you done yet?”
Victoria pointed her forehead lightly, “Not yet, but we’re close enough to the finishing line. Come on, smile. I need to see your cheekbones.”
“Why would you need to see--"
“Just do it, unnie. You don’t want this to go on any longer,” Luna cut her words, simply persuading her with a wink after.
Amber sighed desperately before making an effort to smile. It took two seconds before she felt a soft brush touched her skin later, moving along the side of her face swiftly.
“Now close your eyes.”
This time her eyes shut automatically that she didn’t even surprise. All I want is to have these all over and get them down on their hands above their head while I do some--
“Stop smiling like an idiot, it’s disturbing,” Victoria complained as she brushed a bit of baby pink shadows on her eyelids.
Amber frowned upon hearing the words. Her perfect revenge imagination was simply destroyed just like that.
“Now I need you to look above. Not with your head, only your eyes-- gosh Amber! Is it too hard to understand?” Victoria let out a small sigh before opening the black slim tube with word “waterproof” written boldly on it, “I promise you this would be the last one.”
“What is it? It said waterproof, what does it mean? It can’t be erased? Even with water? Can I get my eyes back after using that? Ah it’s ticklish unnie, my eyes itch ah stop itttt!”
And after hours of punching, gripping, slamming and a bit of pulling hair, they finally managed to end the war. The four of them were moving closer towards Amber, unconsciously holding their breath when they witness the sight in front of them.
“Okay, what is it? Why are you guys staring like that? How bad is it? I need to see the mirror, unnie. I swear I’ll wash my face right away if I-- wow wait-- who’s that? Is that me?”
Amber blinked her eyes. Well-- I look.. okay?
“You look like a girl,” Victoria let out a smug smile, feeling contented.
Amber found herself frozen in front of the hanging mirror. The incoherent rambles stuck on her head earlier were simply flying away.
“You can thank me later, you know,” Victoria elbowed her softly. “Right after I put this on your lips.”
Amber widened her eyes in pure horror, not being able to escape herself from the all the gripping followed.
“You look beautiful,” Henry scratched his neck awkwardly.
Amber let out a sheepish smile before she frowned upon realizing that the itch on her eye started to appear again.
“Don’t do that-- Don' t rub your eyes.” Henry stopped her hand from getting nearer her left eye, causing goosebumps on their skin.
“You just have to close your eyes for a while. It works.” He grinned boyishly before starting to scratch his neck again.
Amber frowned, somehow feeling a bit awkward for finding Henry was better than her in this kind of thing, but finally decided to close her eyes. She didn’t feel the itch disappearing after a while and decided to open her eyes back. “It’s not working, Hen--"
Her words never managed to be finished for the next thing she knew was his warm lips touched hers softly. She went stiff, blinking for the first seconds before deciding to pull his face closer to reciprocate further.
She felt like texting her Victoria unnie later.
