Pairing: Onew/Luna
a drabble and two double drabbles
Chance
Jinki feels his smile curving up as he sees a familiar figure in front of him. She is looking at the announcement board, making sure her schedules are as what she’s been told and later nodding when she figures them all out.
She is about to leave when Jinki unconsciously speeds up and leans in.
“Oppa!” she frowns. “You scared me.”
“Do the schedules match your expectations?” he offers a grin, his eyes shrinking into a line.
“Sort of.” she pauses, thinking. “They kinda cancelled our rehearsal tonight, so aside from it, they all do.”
“So you’re free tonight?” his grin is evidently wider. “Because I can always cancel my game date with Jonghyun.”
Sunyoung feels his smile is contagious and later nods in approval, “Yeah, why not?”
Habit
“Sunyoung--” his voice trailed off as she moves forward to hold him tight.
“Hey- What is it? Are you alright?”
The night feels way much colder than before (last time he checked it was minus three) and the fact that she appears without her coat nor any of scarf wrapping her figure tells him she goes there straightly from only God knows where.
He tries to listen at her silent motion. His head is resting on top of hers, hands awkwardly patting her back. Time passes so painfully slow and he feels like getting cold from the winter wind already. That’s why he decides to cup her face, in which her swollen eyes and heavy breathes enter his sight.
“Wanna tell me what’s this all about?”
She bits her bottom lip and shakes her head. He waits.
Sunyoung is the definition of bright and strong altogether, or at least that’s what she wants everyone else to think of her. So being her usual self, she lets out one heavy sigh and finally looks up. “I’m okay already. Thanks to you, oppa.”
He frowns and she bids him goodbye, toeing up to aim for his cheek and kisses it softly. And just like the other nights, she leaves him questioning everything all alone
The Date
It is supposed to be their first date after months of stealing glances and awkward conversations.
He picks her up at five and the moment the door swung open he is facing four set of eyes, throwing him blinks of curiosity and excitement. He smiles awkwardly, and thankfully Sunyoung appears a moment later, pushing her sisters back altogether at once to give them some space.
He takes her to a movie. Driving his newly washed car, he can’t stop himself from humming along the way. It’s kind of a premiere watch and being a thoughtful guy he tells her that tickets have already reserved since days ahead.
“Popcorns?” He offers her a bucket of those when they finally make it there. Luna nods in appreciation and while waiting for him, she sits comfortably on one chair. She feels too excited to be honest, staring at her watch for the nth times, counting the exact remaining time they have before the movie starts (and their date ends).
It is when the entrance is finally opened, crowds of people walk towards it, that she hears him muttering something under his breath.
Shit. Jinki. Are you being serious?
“What is it, oppa? Something you forget?” she knows him all too well, even with the smallest gesture.
He frowns, the guilty feeling has swallowed his earlier confidence.
“Uh, I think I left the tickets at home.”
