Nichkhun/Victoria | As the gold fluttered down from the sky
She stepped in the front of a closed shop on the corner of the street, seeking for a safe shelter from the sudden rain. She flinched her wet hair in annoyance. She had this important dancing class in half an hour, but now with this heavy rain all over her sight she would need a miracle to be at the studio on time.
"You see here--" She slightly jumped in surprise and turned her head to the right at the sudden voice. She must had been so messed up to not even notice another person standing around.
"I'm saying that maybe you can use my umbrella?"
"Umm, I do need it badly. But--" her voice trailed off as she saw a small umbrella on his hand, definitely not made for two people under it. "How about you?"
He let out a wide grin and she forced herself to stick at her early objective. "I'm fine. I can always wait till it stops. While you, from what I see, are not in the right time to be stuck here, right?"
She bit her bottom lip in hesitance but finally decided to take the offer. "Thank you so much. I'll give it back to you soon. You have my word!" She snatched it fast and started to run ahead, facing the heavy rain with a happy smile.
"It's Nichkhun, by the way." He chuckled softly, looking up at the thick clouds helplessly. "I live just across your room."
Henry/Amber | Bringing me one step closer to you
Henry was tying up his shoelace as he waited for her on the living room. Her mom was all prepared with candies and cookies but he felt way too nervous to eat at the moment. So after he successfully released a few of smooth rejections, her mother gave up with a sigh, leaving him dealing with the anxiety alone.
"Promise me you won't laugh."
A shy voice coming from his back had made him turn his head. The first thing he wanted to do when he spotted her with that cute mini dress and light makeup on her face was very far from laughing. He was gaping (almost drooling but thankfully his mind is not that out of control) as she stepped down the stairs.
"It's weird, I know, you can just tell me right now."
He scratched his neck awkwardly, praying that he wouldn't say something stupid. "It's not. You look beautiful."
Apparently he didn't, because the next thing he saw was her cheek blushed in pink shade.
Kai/Krystal | Carry the weight (of) a life time
"What do you think you're doing? You look like a fool."
Her brow raised in full annoyance. "You're not allowed to sit there." She pointed at him who walked towards her bed comfortably and totally ignored her. "I'm working on my expressions."
He bit her unfinished muffin and stared at her, clueless.
"I need to smile a lot. Naturally."
"Why? Because people want you to?"
She heaved a frustrated sigh, moving closer towards him. "You don't understand, Jongin." She snatched her food back. "They love you. You have no flaw."
He waited till she swallowed her last munch and inched closer, earning confused blinks and a frown face on her side. "I love you just the way you are. Isn't that enough?"
She broke in giggles and soon silenced by his soft kisses.
Onew/Luna | Distance can’t take what is hidden here
Being together was probably not an option for them both. At least not for the next three years.
She helped him packing his suitcases the day before he went away. She wanted to make sure he had brought everything he needed the most so she added her favorite shirt that always looked good on him (she simply ignored his yell of protests because apparently she was the only one having that opinion), a pair of gloves she knitted for the days when she couldn't be there to warm his hands, and his daily vitamins he tended to forget.
The room was almost empty. Some of his things were still lying there but the feelings were starting to drain out.
"I'm gonna miss you so bad, Sunyoung-ah." his voice was trembling when he saw her zipping up the last suitcase before pushing it aside.
She forced a smile, not even trying to hide her own tears. "I know. I'm gonna miss you too."
Jonghyun/Sulli | Empty the skies out
They had the worst fight at her birthday dinner and she didn't understand why he had to be so unusually irritating. That was why, after minutes of throwing tantrums at each other, she decided to stand up and leave him sitting there. She had lost her appetite anyway so why bother waiting for the food to come?
Her destructive steps stopped when she suddenly saw people around letting loud gasps and starting to stare at her back. Worried that he might did something even dumber, she braced herself to turn around once again, only to find him kneeling on the floor. His right hand was hanging in the air, practically showing her a ring that seemed so perfect to bring her closer towards the happiness.
"Choi Jinri, will you make me the happiest man alive?" was all he saying that took her breath away.
He slipped the ring on her forth finger after she finally said yes. Kissing her in pure joy, he smiled as she deliberately muttered jackass between the kisses.
