I love "he belongs in LA because nobody belongs in LA"... beautiful line and it gets the point across concisely and in a way I can relate to emotionally. I liked the parallel with 20's Berlin too, very richly descriptive :)

i was reading the catalogue for the new york show "Glitter and Doom" (a fantastic book, especially if your interested in art.) and i loved the dark undertones to everything and it fit so well with the LA i wanted to portray.

i'm glad you liked that line so much, i personally viewed it as one of the real important ones to get across how isolated and messed up ville is in this story.
