Hey all!

It's been great to see the recent growth in our little community _fanfics as of late - so many creative and wonderful minds! Likewise to all of your works! Y'all have really been popping out some great stuff lately, and I know I for one only look forward to seeing more =)

I really want to get started with fic and art challenges for the community, but I have two things I would like to see get rolling with the community first:

(1) By September 1st, 2005 I would like to see at least 200 livejournal users who are members of _fanfics_. I have been running about in "livejournal-land" trying to advertise and boost membership as best I can, but the thing that works the very best is what all of you can do! I know y'all have friends and other users who love fandom as much as us, so drag them on over here! If you belong to communities, give a shout out to the other members (get an OK with the moderator first tho!)... introduce people to livejournal who write or draw and don't have an account already... whatever you guys can think of
