wow, what an obnoxious bit of mental masturbation.

the shortsightedness of the consequences of such a radical change in mass behavior are staggering. and the fact that no such change of the sort is in any way shape or form a likely occurrence... ya know, i have dozens of sci-fi stories i would like to present as academic papers.
