So far I've visited two home daycares. I liked both, however the first one is a no go, because the playroom is a finished, but UNHEATED addition. I was FROZEN when I left. the ad I answered last week stated there was only one opening until January. Today, around 5:30 the owner, (who I really liked, very kind, devoted, master's in special ed and worked primarily with preschool kids) posted another ad saying she had immediate openingS.

Maybe it's something to do with his age? I know in some places, there are required ratios of caregivers to kids based on their ages. So, you might only need one person for 6 kids over 3, but you would need 2 people if they were younger. ?

Actually, she (the daycare provider) is having some problems with the parents being consistently LATE with paying her, so she told the parents the kids couldn't come back until they were caught up. She said she felt odd confiding this in me, but thought I would understand and didn't want me to think she wasn't being honest with me.

I really like her and think she's the one to go with, she's also slightly less expensive than daycare #3 which is a bonus.
