That downward spiral . . .

Bakura was gone.

The fact hit Miho like a bullet, and stung like one too. An acute, stabbing pain that no matter how hard she tried failed to leave her chest, and now had managed to twist its way deep into the dead center, to her heart, and she doubled over in the pain from it. Her paniced reaction to this sudden jolt only increased the tension in her muscles. Why was this happening? Why did this hurt?

She couldn't breathe.

Choking on the air, she gasped for breath. Her eyes began to sting and her vision began to blur, but she fought. 'I won't cry' she told herself. 'I won't... ... cry.

So many sounds crowded her mind, but all she could hear was the words he had written to her.
'forget about me.'

It echoed over and over in my mind like a cruel taunt. "Y..you jerk." she whispered. "H-how can you say that?" She couldn't hold it any longer. Small tears strung down, bleeding into the soft fabric of the hat that lay before her, which she had been carrying with her everywhere as of late. "HOW CAN YOU SAY THAT?" She screamed into the darkness of the empty room, expecting him to reply.

It wasn't suppost to be like this. She had fallen for other guys before, but they had always been shrugged off in time, it never happened like this. Why did this one hurt so bad? Why was this one so different? Why couldn't she let go?

... had... had she ...loved him?

Bakura had told her to find 'some great guy' .. but as she sat there, she began to wonder ... what she was to do if she had already found him. She stood up. "I..I won't forget." she promised herself, rubbing her eyes with her hand, trying to dry her tears. "I'm not guhnna..forget."

[ OoC: This tears me up. It really does. I feel AWFUL making Miho this upset,but..i HAVETA. x_x; ]
