My trip to Hawaii went a little something like this...

Wednesday, January 5th, Day 1~
Well, first of all I stayed up all Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, I had to be at Katie's by 7 and it was like 3 am when I started packing so by the time I was finished I felt that it really wasn't worth it to try and sleep because I figured I could just sleep on the plane. Lonnie took me out to breakfast before he took me to Katie's because he stayed up all night with me. The six of us that went were myself, Katie, Leona, Donna (Katie's mother), Linda, and Gloria (which are Donna's 2 friends). When we get to the airport we find out that our flight is delayed. I am figuring no big deal, it'll be ok. Well our plane was delayed for like 2 hours, Why? Because there was something wrong with a door on the plane. So we get to Cinncinati about 2 and a half hours late missing our flight to Honolulu. And unfortunately there wasn't another flight for us until the next morning. So we had to spend the night in Kentucky (the Cinncinati airport is located in Northern Kentucky) missing the first island on our cruise of Hawaii. Once we got onto a shuttle bus to take us from the airport to our hotel, I started to feel nauseous. The flight to Cinncinati was on a small airplane and it was a little rocky but nothing I couldn't handle because I have flown before. So I was very confused to why I felt so ill. It didn't get any better. A minute away from the hotel my body temperature increased about 20 degrees and everything started to get blurry and there was a sudden urge that I was gonna vomit all over the shuttle bus. I made the driver stop to let me out and I ran into traffic not even caring if I would get hit by a car and fell into the grass on the side of the road hoping that I would throw up so I could feel better. But I didn't get sick...in fact the fresh air made me feel a little better. I was soooooo embarrassed though that all those people on the shuttle bus watched me have that little episode. For the rest of the day I felt shaky. All us passengers only recieved a free night and 2 $7 vouchers to eat for missing our first day on the cruise ship. No refund what so ever. The six if us girls spent both of our vouchers on dinner. I really don't know why Delta airlines felt that $14 was enough to eat both dinner and breakfast with. We went to a restaurant called Rafferty's which was right across the street from the hotel. It was a very expensive choice but the food wasn't too bad either. Leona, Katie and I all went to sleep around 6 pm because mind you...Leona and didn't sleep at all the night before and Katie had just a few hours of sleep the night before. We slept the whole night through till 6 am. We had to be up early because our shuttle bus was picking us up at 6:30 to take us back to the airport.

Thursday, January 6th, Day 2~
I woke up feeling better but once I got to the airport I started to feel dizzy again. I had no idea what the hell was making me feel so sick. I also felt bad because I didn't want to be ruining Katie or Leona's time because I was sick. Well the ladies (when ever I say ladies, I am referring to Donna, Gloria and Linda) all had a patch that prevents motion sickness and Linda had prescription pills to go with her patch and they all thought my equilibrium was off and that was why I was getting sick. So I took a pill and 20 minutes later I was as good as new. Our new flight schedule was from Cinncinati to Salt Lake City which was a 3 hour flight...from Salt Lake to Honolulu which was a 6 hour flight...and from Honolulu to Hilo which took about a half an hour. On flight to Honolulu none of the six of us sat near each other and on the flight to Hilo Donna and I had a 4:00 flight and the rest of the group took another flight at 5:00. So we finally catch the ship in Hilo and we board at about 6:30-7:00. We do our room registry get some snacks and we get leied...as in the flower leis. We get to our room which was quite small for the 3 of us, pick out our beds, go out to dinner at one of the many 5 star restaurants on the ship, and then we all ventured off to become aware of our surroundings. We went by an active volcano at night. All I could see was the lava though. Being in the middle of the ocean is crazy. At night all you can see is blackness and you can hear the water but you can't see it! During the day it was gorgeous. Crystal clear blue water surrounding you with bright blue skies. An amazing sight. We also looked at the stars from the very front of the ship...I have never seen so many in my life. It was rare to see the moon also in Hawaii. I only seen it once while I was there.

Friday, January 7th, Day 3~
We were at sea all day and we all woke up early because we had to go to a mandatory safety course, then we all went to breakfast at a buffet and after breakfast we all hopped in our bathing suits and sat outside alllllll day. It was about 10:30 when we got out there. At about 11:30 we started drinking...lol...the bar servers were like flys on shit...they were coming around to ya every effin second. The one time they brought us our water, I seen a person near me with some fruity drink and it looked real good so I had one of the servers bring me one and thats how it all began, after that I just drank Long Island Iced Teas for the rest of the day. We drank and sat on the deck till about 5 o'clock. We met some really cool and fun bar servers. Melvin and Rudy were our faves throughout the entire trip. We also noticed a europeon man in a tight ass orange bathing suit...we named him "orange shorts guy" and we kept our eye on him the entire trip also. We also watched the "Mr. Sexy Legs" contest which all the men were over the age of 40 in the contest but it was fun...I rooted for the old English man but he didn't win...We also met 3 boys from Phoenix, James, Brandon and Freddy...nice guys. After we goofed off and got ready to go to a dinner with the Captain, my stomach started to hurt from the rocking of the ship. It took me a few days to get used to that. I took dramamine every single day. So I went back to the room to go to sleep because I think it wasn't just from the rocking of the boat, I think it was also because I was coming down from being real drunk cause I started to get a headache too.

Saturday, January 8th, Day 4~
We were at sea again for the second day in a row. Leona and I went to breakfast without Katie and again sat outside for most of the day. Katie did join us outside but not long at all, she went to lay down. It did rain most of the morning but eventually it cleared up towards the afternoon. Then Katie joined us again and we all went to get fake tattoos done by these polynesian boys who were the only hot polynesian boys I seen on the entire trip. Then we went out to dinner at one of the fancy Italian restaurants and then went to a comedy show starring Chris Alpine. You might have seen him on Comedy Central or HBO. I thought he was hilarious. After the show I started to get a headache (again) so I went to bed early (again).

Sunday, January 9th, Day 5~
That was the day we finally got to see some land.We went to Fanning Island which is part of the Republic of Kiribati, not the States. We went to a beach there called Napali Beach it was absolutely gorgeous. Everywhere in the sand were holes for crabs and they all came out once in a while you could see one poke out to see if it was safe. 10 minutes of sun in Fanning Islands equals up to about 10 hours of sun here at home so I stayed in the shade if I wasn't swimming in the ocean. The water was great...there were a lot of little sea urchents though and I tried to pick up a few of them thinking they were rocks...lol...After the beach we went to the little market where the locals sold hand made things. I bought a few necklaces made out of shells, some turtles made out of shells an ankle bracelet made out of shells and a hunting knife made out of bones and wood...it cost me about $20 for all that stuff. I wish I bought more there now that I think about it. When we got back to the ship...Katie and Leona started to drink at the pool bar (yes there was a pool bar on the ship!) I had a couple drinks though but I didn't feel like getting drunk. We watched the sunset that night, awesome, absolutely awesome. We goofed off around the boat for a little bit...We all went to the show that night to see the polynesian dancers where I fell in love with those hawaiian boys again when I saw them in action. After that we did some more goofing off, we found a flat basketball at the basketball court and the 3 of us tried playing basketball...it was so much fun. After a while it was just Katie playing by herself while Leona and I layed on the court looking up at the stars. We also ordered room service for dinner at the end of the night, yep freeeee room service.

Monday, January 10th, Day 6~
Back out at sea for the day...this time I woke up at 10:30 instead of 7am...I was mad at myself...Katie, Leona and I had lunch, sat outside for a little bit and watched the pool games that were going on. It rained a little bit for most of the day. We went to the Captain's Cocktail party, went out to dinner, then went to the show to see Wes Esape who was an impersonist but he mostly impersonated people such as Perry Como, Dean Martin, Louis Armstrong and all those old timers...of course because 90% of the passangers on the ship were all old timers. We then went to Open Mic for anyone who wanted to tell a joke...I heard some really bad ones, but the best ones from a little old lady named Emily...she was hilarious. I went to bed that night with an enormous headache, the worst I've had in a long time. I had a headache all throughout the night too...so everytime I woke up or moved I would feel the pounding in my head. I also had real bad dreams all night...there was a series of them...the first one was my Babci being held up in her house...the second one was about Lonnie not caring about me...and the third and last one was me working and everything possible that could go wrong, went wrong...I woke up feeling like there was something wrong at home...but that was me just being paranoid.

Tuesday, January 11th, Day 7~
The fourth day at sea...Leona and I woke up early as usual...had breakfast...went to make beaded bandanas...we got Katie...we all went to get another tattoo from the Hot Hawaiians...made stars out of palm leaves...sat out in the sun...went to a cocktail party provided by Dan our travel agent. He got us sooooo drunk. Katie in particular was the most drunk...when she drinks she gets so sloppy, its embarrassing on her behalf...everyone in our travel group thought we were alcoholics...I mean who can blame them our table had about 15 different drinks and shots on it...Dan kept making the bar servers bring us more and more drinks and shots...I kept telling Dan "no more" but then I would feel bad and do a shot with him anyway...shots of Southern Comfort of course...my favorite...while Katie was pounding the tequila...I hate tequila...After the party, Leona, Katie and I went back to our room to chill and drink...Katie threw a fit about not having a boyfriend but felt better after about an hour...we jammed to *N Sync...ordered room service again...and then went to the show where the cast was some members of the crew of the ship...they danced, they sang and played some instruments...the best part was Melvin's dance, it was great...Rudy's dance was ok too but it just wasn't as fun. Leona recorded it and all you can hear in the background of the performances was the three of us girls screaming because we were loaded...after the show I passed out...

Wednesday, January 12th, Day 8~
We went to the island of Kauai...we visited a fern grotto there which was beautiful along with the Wailua River and Waiuna Canyon...(I think thats how you spell it)...It was all absolutely gorgeous...the ride up to the canyon took about an hour...we seen the hotel from the movie Blue Hawaii starring Elvis Presley, which he is pretty much a god down there...and also the tour guides on our boat on the river was known as the Smith Family and the oldest member of the family was also in the movie with Elvis...they were real nice and funny people...one thing you realize when visiting Hawaii is how nice and pleasant everybody is...so laid back...When we got back to the ship, we went to a lobster dinner...it was the first time I ever had lobster...also on the ship was the first time I ever had calamari and escargot...and it was good!...Then we went to a comedy show with a guy named Hendrick who juggled and half of his stunts were not performed well but it was ok I guess...then we stuck around for a show called the Liars Club...there were 4 contestants who were 4 crew members on the ship....Chris Alpine, the comedian...Jimmy, the cruise director (who Katie loved)...Leona, just a crew member who was in charge of a lot of activties on the ship...and Marcus, the piano player...There were 4 letters picked from the dictionary that you probably never heard of and on each word, the 4 contestants gave you their version of the definition and the audience had to decide who was telling the truth or not. The audience was divided into 9 teams and me, Katie, Leona and Donna were on team 5...I was the team's captain...when they called our team number I had to yell out who we thought was telling the truth. It was a lot of fun, the stories that the contestants were coming up with were hilarious.

Thursday, January 13th, Day 9~
We went to MAUI!...It was kind of cloudy there that day and we weren't able to go to a beach. We shopped all morning because in Maui there were a million little shops and bought everybody souvenirs in Maui. At lunchtime we decided to go back to the ship to eat because it was free there and we wanted to put all our stuff that we bought on the boat. After lunch we were gonna go back to the island but since it was so windy, the waves were insane and the tender boats that took us from the ship to shore could have easily flipped over which we realized on our way back to the boat the first time. So the captain announced that he didn't want anyone going back to shore for the time being and he wasn't sure if he would change his mind for our safety. It upset us that we wouldn't be able to come back to shore because we had a Luau at 4:30...but at about 3:30 the captain said that the waves hadn't changed but if you didn't have to go back to shore than don't. So that meant we were able to go to our Luau. The Luau was at the Sheraton Hotel Resort which was absolutely gorgeous but I didn't think it was appropriate to have a Luau there because they are normally held on a beach. It was held outside though and it did have all the same kind of entertainment and food that it would usually have. I tried poi there...poi is a starch product that the hawaiians eat and it has an aquired taste. I didn't think it was too bad, I've eaten worst things. After the Luau there was another crazy ride back to the ship on a tender boat and this is where the 3 of us girls noticed 3 guys...we had seen them around on the ship before but we didn't really NOTICE them...Leona was in love...I just thought they were hot and Katie never really never made a big deal. The last thing we did that night on the ship Chris Alpine had a late night comedy show where this time he was allowed to swear because there were not any children allowed to this show. It was just as good as the first show...

Friday, January 14th, Day 10~
That day was our last day on the ship...we went to the island of Kona where Katie, Leona and I did a little more shopping...layed out on a small beach and swam in a small part of the ocean...went on a glass bottom boat ride and seen a bunch of cool, colorful looking fish and coral and urchents...it was cool as hell...then after the boat, Katie Leona and I went for a walk down the streets of Kona and went to a lot of the little shops...we came across a weiner dog named Spark-ee...Katie was excited...then when returned back to the ship we got ourselves ready for dinner, went to dinner with the ladies. Gloria noticed the one boy that Leona was in love with and she knew we thought he was hot and his 2 brothers so when he walked by our table she grabbed him and started talking to him and we started talking to him and thats when he invited us to go to Dazzles Night Club (yep there was a night club on the ship), to hang out. We were really excited, mostly Leona...Before the Dazzles we went to a variety show with Donna as the last show on the ship...then thats when we started drinking in our room, after the show...At about 11:30 we went up to Dazzles and we found him immediately...we found out his name is Drew and his brothers were Ross and Reed...we saw our other friends too so it was cool to see them...As I kept drinking I was getting drunker, and the drunker I got the more aggravated I was getting with everyone around me...especially Katie and Leona who were totally ignoring me...so that pissed me off and left them at the bar, went up to my room, finished packing and fell asleep...everytime Katie would come into the room I started bitching at her about how her and Leona ditched me at the bar and I got myself really upset. I guess the 3 brothers snuck some weed on the boat so Katie and Leona got really drunk and really high with them that night...

Saturday, January 15th, Day 11~
We all had to be up by 7 because we all had to be off the boat by 8:15...Katie and Leona wouldn't wake up for me but when the ladies started screaming at them to wake up they did, they were still hammered...we tried to eat breakfast but that didn't happen because we ran out of time...I wouldn't have if I didn't wait for them and I was still mad at them so I don't even know why I did...It was really aggravating being near them as they were still drunk at 8 in the morning. At about 8:30 we were called to disembark the ship into Honolulu. Our flight wasn't till 8:30 pm so we went on a tour of Pearl Harbor which was probably one of my favorite things that we did. It was really emotional and educational and I had a good time...we got walk around on the USS Missouri which was really neat...I also liked the USS Arizona Memorial...we saw the actual ship underwater still from all those years ago when it was sunk...After the tour of Pearl Harbor we went on a tour of Honolulu...then went to the airport around 4:30 so we had 4 hours to spend at the airport...Left for home at 8:30 pm out of Honolulu, Oahu...

Overall...I honestly believe that the trip could have been better...I wish I went with people that didn't make me feel uncomfortable because they wanted to drink more than I did but I wasn't uncomfortable all the time...I don't want you to think that I hated every minute because thats not true at all...I had fun with Katie and Leona, no doubt I just feel that those 2 are not on the same page as I am...even though Leona and I basically agreed on just about everything, I hope that next time I go to Hawaii I am with the one I love...I thought about him every minute...which made me really homesick...

Overall view on the people I met...James, Brandon, and Freddy...the 3 boys we met from Phoenix...really nice guys and were a lot of fun, I kind of wish I hung out with them more often...James was the nicest and oldest out of the 3 and he made me dance with him at Dazzles which makes him ok in my book
...Ross, Reed and Drew...really hot brothers...really laid back and cool guys, its too bad I didn't get to know them a lot sooner than the last day of the trip
...Travel group from WNY...annoying...
...Crew members...Melvin and Rudy, I will never forget them...really awesome guys from the Phillipines just trying to earn a living and some of the nicest guys I have ever met...Rudy called Leona, Katie and I the Powerpuff Girls and whenever he saw us he would shout "POWERPUFF!" I am so gonna miss that
...Other crew members, Jimmy, Leona and Bobby Bingo, & Skippy...too funny and cute

Overall view on the people I went with...Donna and Gloria were a good time...Linda on the other hand complained so much that I don't even think she enjoyed herself...Katie, well was a little much at times but nothing I couldn't handle...sometimes its hard for me to spend many consecutive days with my friends...Leona was a lot of fun...the 2 girls as a whole I was glad to be on the trip with...I really needed that vacation away from Niagara Falls...

I am so gonna miss Hawaii, it was beautiful, gorgeous, amazing...and because of this trip I might want to transfer to a school down there and maybe start a career there...it is an arm and a leg to live there but there is always a pretty price to pay to live in paradise...

Until we meet again...MAHALO!!!!
