>>What's your favourite thing to order with a cup of coffee? Or, as a vegan, what coffeeshop options do you see in the pastry section that you wish you could order?

Croissants...:(
I'm sure there must be a vegan gluten free croissant out there somewhere...

Oh boy, I know exactly what you mean. I absolutely LOVE anything puff pastry related. In fact, I accidentally bought double the amount of margarine that I should really have in my fridge at one time, so I'm going to experiment with vegan puff pastry again. I know it's possible (http://bjorkedoff.blogspot.com/) - I've eaten some of Evan's AMAZING Danish pastries before! I just need to do it on a cold day and practice lots, I guess... Can't help with gluten free stuff just yet though, I'm afraid...

Me too! This is why I'm like an old lady and frequently have a box of baked treats in my bag if I'm going to be spending the day in the city haha. The other day I was at Oh Yeah and one of the girls there said how much she liked the things I baked, and I just pulled a box out of my bag and handed her a cookie. A few minutes later, I realised how weird that must have seemed, but she seemed happy at the time :P

I love cinnamon danish swirls with the icing on top, yum yum, not that I drink coffee that regularly but anyway. Those snickerdoodles look yummy, kind of like Ginger snaps? Or whatever they're called? :)

Mmmm I love cinnamon swirls! They're my Mum's favourites, too. I always make them for her when I'm at home, but I cheat and use pre-made puff pastry from Sainsbury's! I think there's a blog post with a picture of them if you go about 3 months back...

Definitely is, I saved it for future reference. :)

Oh and as for being like ginger snaps, they're not really like those other than the crackled tops. These are soft and kind of cakey, not crunchy :)

Would love to be able to recreate pain au chocolat more successfully. Can't seem to recreate the butteryness or the chocolate ends up tasting too bitter. Hmmm. I do miss a good croissant!

Oh hell yes. Puff pastry treats are, and have always been, WAY up there on my list of favourites. It just takes so long to make is is incredibly hit and miss (plus I've not yet cracked the secret to making it, waaahhh!)
