Jokes

I usually think of myself as pretty good natured when it comes to jokes and pranks but there's a certain point that it's really not cool. If somebody played a prank on you and made you think somebody close to you died would you laugh and have a good time after you found out it wasn't true? Or would you get a pissed off when you found out? One thing ( Read more... )

Dating a 14 year old is statutory rape. Utah it may be different but here it's not, and the fact that all of you condoning a situation where a 22 year old was dating a 14 year old is fucked up. Saying you hang out with a 14 year old is one thing, but saying you're dating one is completely different. If somebody told me they were dating a 14 year old I would be LEGALLY obligated to report it, just like any other form of abuse no ifs ands or buts about it. And if I don't report it I would lose my medical license and could never practice medicine in the state of Idaho, and possibly any where else in the U.S. You might not take that seriously but I do.

And another thing is people play jokes on me all the time, and any of my close friends know I'm good natured about it. But when there is the possibility that the police might have to get in the middle of it don't you think you might've taken it a little too far?

What about the joke where Meir said that he got a girl pregnant? You didn't freak out about that! And Kristi's original intention wasn't even to pull one over on people...it was more a parody than anything else. I just went along with it because I thought it ridiculous that anyone would believe that for a second. And yeah, you are an EMT, big whoopty-doo. That has nothing to do with being socially responsible. But while being a socially responsible person isn't a bad thing, part of it is getting the facts before jumping to conclusions. xoxox

What the hell do you think he tried to do by calling you? He was trying to get facts, to make sure it wasn't a fucked up joke.

I'm sorry, but its not funny.

Or even amusing.

no, you're not amusing. this was a parody like sara said
maybe you guys are the ones with the issues if you could even believe that about me
yes you are
as for strangers, yes, i can understand they couldn't get it (though one person could tell it wasn't real) because they dont' know me...but i never thought a stranger would read my journal. look at past entries how many comments do i get? very few usually from melinda, sara, and mel.

the fact earl was calling i wasnt picking up
because i was disgusted
with him
for calling up scott and freaking out
scott called me up and told me how he did that
i was literally shocked by his stupidity...of all people...earl...a guy ive known for years.
so ppl didnt tell the truth, cuz he called up and asked
not calmly
but freaking out
he freaked out on my journal
then freaks out on scott
and freaks out on sara
and me
if he was asking for answers he wouldnt have been accusing me from the start
he would have asked calmly
its not a big deal
don't make it one silly

p.s. if Earl wanted to know the truth he wouldn't have freaked out on my journal first thing...or called Scott as the first person to call.

It was about me, if he *really* cared to know the OBVIOUS truth he would have called me up first. Not Scott, then Sara, and possibly even Rachel (Scott said Earl was going to call her). And after calling all those people he decides to call me? Scott told the lie to Earl, I didn't. Scott chose to keep it going. Earl believed it before even calling Sara. Sara just didn't stop him from believing it. I told her she shouldn't tell him the truth, why? Because I wanted the joke to be on him? Not really, like I said. I was pissed that he would believe that about me and then had the nerve to make accusations on my journal, to Scott, Sara etc...before even trying to get ahold of me.

As someone who is deeply offended by rape jokes, I think you're the one viewing this in a ludicrous manner. Sexuality was never brought up in her post. It was never even an issue.
I just... ergh.

Out of proportion.

Knowing what you know about all of us, how could you think not only would Kristi be so dumb but that we would actually support it?

It should have been obvious like Meir's prank. Sorry she didn't wait 31 more days to write it!

Heh, knowing what we know of you all? That's why we kind of assumed it in the first place...

yes dave because we are known to go after little boys
no wait, thats not true

mel is married to a guy older than her, and has been with him since you have known us. that has not changed even once. they were on and off but she never got with anyone else.

sara? she's dated people younger but never NEVER people under the age of 18..heck, i don't even think she dated guys that were 18.

and me? hmm lets see...Drew was older, Kevin is my age. And the very few dates with other people I ever had were always with people my age also.

So exactly what do you know about us that would make you assume that?

I'm not going to go into it because my words will scathe, plus I'm in a generally annoyed mood at the moment.

The key words are "sexual contact".

Did you know that "sexual contact" is basically the prosecutor's trump card? What exactly is sexual contact?

A law website reads: "...acts of molestation or fondling that do not result in penetration," and "the use or threat of force in order to have sexual acts performed by third persons."

Holding hands can be considered sexual contact, if the lawyer presents it to the judge with enough suave. Many adultery trials have been decided with less.

(3) For the purposes of this section "sexual contact" means any physical
contact between such minor child and any person, which is caused by the
actor, or the actor causing such minor child to have self contact.
