This guy at work is constantly trying to show me pictures that he takes of his girlfriends undressing with his phone. Now, at first, I would just nod and not pay attention while he showed me all of this, but lately

Well, I have to disagree partly on your idea of photographs being sleezy. Camera phone pictures aren't that impressive. It seems every Joe Blow and his girlfriend are sneaking around taking exhibitionist pictures, but of course, those aren't tasteful.

Just like painting, photos can be exquisitely beautiful or heaping mounds of trash and smut. 35mm film is no different than oils or pastels. The art revolves around the artist, not the model.

I didn't say that photography itself was sleazy, I was accuse "telephone photography" of being sleazy. Besides a disagree with your choice of 35mm instead, I think people should choose 762x39, lol. It is far more like an oil painting.

So, when you say "paint perhaps" do you mean you wouldn't mind seeing pictures of the girlfriend if she was wearing paint, or nude paintings of the girlfriend. Can you even imagine the depravity of the fellow who would paint nude pictures of his girlfriend?

Now before Mr. Kode gets all up in arms, I would like to say that I am not slurring all nude art. But I have to assume that the guy who would pass around cell phone pictures of his naked girlfriend would probably have motives slightly less noble than art if he were to start painting pictures of his nude girlfriend. In fact, he seems more like the sort of character who is far more likely to smear paint on his girlfriend than on a canvas.

Actually, this all reminds me of the last swimsuit edition of Sports Illustrated...

So wait a second I totally missed taking my shot at you "not slurring all nude art" it seems contrary to your message. As the old joke goes, "What's the difference between art and pornography?...................." So the fellow who paints a nude picture of his girlfriend is more nobel than the guy who uses a cell phone camera, yet this same fellow is also depraved. Sounds like you have complex feelings on the matter.
