YAY It's DAY!

To bring a little of my blissful madness into you people's little world, I bring you this thought. "So long as the sun turneth, so long as the sea churneth, so long as men earneth wage, everyone is doomed to die!" Which is I guess a little bit comforting if you're sick like me? Anyhow, today's true thought is about Bonanza that greatest of T.V. ( Read more... )

I can not believe that you like Bonanza. Such the greatest show ever made! For years, whenever I've gone to my grandma's house, the grown-ups congregate upstairs, while me, my siblings, and all of my cousins congregate downstairs where absolutely the only thing they ever seem to be showing on T.V. is Bonanza.

Actually, there are two or three plot lines. One is the one you described, very often centered around a love interest of Litte Joe, but the love interest always either dies or decides to rejoin their people. Another plotline is when the Cartwrights take up the cause of some poor oppressed neighbor who is being kicked out of school, or having their land taken from them, and right at the last minute some great, deep secret comes out about the bad guy just before he either dies or atones for his sins. The third plot line is when you just know that the producers were high, and they randomly contrived a situation in which Little Joe and Hoss are shanghai-ed in San Francisco.

It's hard to imagine that someone actually watches more Bonanaza than I! But I bow before the Bonanaza master. It is one of the best shows ever, but what do you think of Green Acres?

Alas, I have never partaken of the opportunity of watching Green Acres. Is it good?

I don't really care that Bonanza had limited plot. I just watched for Adam, whose purpose on the show was to look sexy.

Everyone is obsessed with Adam, the guy wasn't in 86.2% of the episodes because he was "out of town"!
