For those of you that live on another planet...
...or Soccer-ball if you are Malcolm Glazer. It was the 'Champions League Final' and was contested by the mighty A.C. Milan and a very average Liverpool team. Seven of the Milan players had won the competition before. A few of them have played for their respective countries in the World Cup final (Maldini & Cafu spring to mind). Liverpool had not won this competition in 20 or so years. None of them have ever played in a world cup final (and in fairness, probably never will [except Finnan hopefully]). Liverpool finished in 5th place in the premiership this season. Milan finished 2nd in Serie A. You get the picture...
