Picture of the day.

Inspired by d_floorlandmine's recent photographic series, I've decided to do a short run of similar ones for you to rip my meagre photographic skills apart.

In no particular order, and taken over the last few years mostly with the same camera, here we go:

I can't see it. Although with the day I'm having, it might just be me.

Wah - well it was working earlier! I'll investigate.

Fixed now - Geocities had decided I'd hit my bandwidth limit. So I've moved the photo to LiveJournal Scrapbook (didn't realise I had one!). Click for 800x600 version...

The motion blur on that is excellent - especially as you've got the bride so sharp and well focussed.

It was more luck than judgement - I was in a shop, so only just managed to get to the street, get the camera out of my pocket, turned on, lens cap off etc. to get a photo at all.

(tweaked the image link a bit more - now it's 800x600 in the post, under a cut)

One of my artistic advisors (cookwitch) suggested that you could crop off the right hand side slightly, to remove the previous row of the procession, because they distract slightly from the point of focus.

I have considered that - also maybe a little top/bottom cropping to remove superfluous bits. I might have a play with it at work on Monday (when I shall be posting up the next photo)

It's one of those shots that if I'd have planned it, I doubt would ever have come out so well.
