By lighting, you mean 'slight bit of weak sunshine through the clouds' :)

But yes, the detail on the doves is nice and crisp, with little distortion (despite the high zoom level).

[grin] Yep. But the angle of it is just right to highlight the edges of the feathers on the head.

I've got another one with their heads at odd angles. They were listening to the whine of the camera lens. I'll see if I can find it and upload it later.

Both doves were trying to work out how to get to the seed on the table - but the roof defeated them because they were too big. Until one of them flew off to the fence, then came back again and managed to squeeze under. The other paced around on the roof wondering how he'd achieved it...
