Apple + greenhouse = ?

Yesterday some apples fell off the apple tree next to our greenhouse. You can see the result in the photo below. So we've pulled off as many overhanging apples as we can get to, and I've just replaced the two broken panes of glass (just as well there's a stack of spare two foot square glass panes in the garage and I have a glass cutting tool ( Read more... )

Bugger. Weather's somewhat damper down here today - obviously, seeing as yesterday I decided "I know, I won't bother mowing the lawn today, I'll wait until Sunday." Have been spending most of the weekend sorting photos. [grin]

As long as it's not too long (about 8cm), then I tend to just mow it anyway even if it's raining. But I suppose you're using an electric mower, whereas I'm using petrol which doesn't mind the wet. If it's longer then it tends not to collect in the grass box properly, so that's when I tend to put it off...

Yep, electric - not so good with the rain! Still takes more time to get it out of the shed and run out the extension cord than it does to actually mow the lawn!
