Weather you love him or hate him, it's sad to know he's gone, i know i never knew the guy personally, but he was a part of my life, bad was the first vinyl i ever owned and i love his music. I'm also sickened by the fact that within 2 hours of his death i'd already started getting told jokes about it ( Read more... )

This. Absolutely this. In fact when two of our managerial staff decided to make jokes about it our post lady told them off.

I hope he finds peace. I really can’t help but feel that the stress of his lifestyle; the surgery and the strange health kicks he went on helped to contribute to his premature death.

I hope he finds peace. Like Freddie Mercury his music will live on. And that's the best thing to remember him for.

i hope so too. It still shocks me that even tho he has been proven innocent still the pedophile jokes persist. I honestly believe the world has lost something special with his passing.

I loved his old stuff but he's left me cold since after Thriller and in recent years all you ever heard about was his scandals.
"Billie Jean" is still one of my all time favourite songs.
He's one of the prime examples for who fame can screw with people.

definatley, and i think it's a shame that those things will always be there. Personally i'm gonna remember all of the good stuff, his achievements and what his music means to me, Hell i'd even do a tribute track if i thought i wouldn't get hanged for doing it :)

Amanda Palmer did a minute's silence and a cover of Billie Jean at her gig last night in tribute. :o)

that's really good of her, i'm actually having to invoke the 24hour rule on one forum i'm on because i'm angry at some of the stuff being said. It's rare that i let that kind of stuff get to me. Once agan it's a shame that no matter what he did those allegations will always be there

I think its a loss as well, he was an utter legend - allegations ruin peoples life, but then again, i sometimes wonder if we're being a bit niave by not believing the rumours.

rumours are that though rumours. Damn shame he died, world has lost a genius

as was quoted after the trial by both jury and judge 'michael jackson was the victim of a evil mastermind of a family, justice has been done on this day.' I don't believe he did it but then i did alot of studying into it because i found the whole thing fascinating.
