Another interesting fact: The Human Rights Act, based on the European Convention of Human Rights - which the Sun hates as being not English enough - was constructed under the supervision of a very British Conservative MP and Judge.

David Maxwell Fyfe, 1st Earl of Kilmuir - who opposed the decisions from the Wolfenden report and yet chose it's chair even though said chair had a gay son.
