Thanks to srprs for his hard work in installing the sink, faucet, garbage disposal and dishwasher at William Blake Lodge. It's sure been nice to have events at the space this weekend and not have to hand-wash dishes. As sister B. said, "I just turned on the garbage disposal and grinned for about two minutes."

it is so awesome to see the space coming along. We're starting to get close to finished.

I would be interested to see your financial breakdown some time, to see what sort of thing wwe need to be aiming for. We are a long way off, we only just started asking for local dues in my camp, but ther are 25 of us now, that's not too shabby and we will get there eventually. Also, I need to email Kerrie soon, I am EGC Secratary for the UK now and I have lots of questions!

We will have some of the financials, but much of the materials and labor get donated, so it's hard to get accurate figures, but we surely have an educated guess. This all depends if you are going with a bare bones space, like converting a warehouse like WBL is doing (which requires the landlords permission), or moving into a more finished space that already has bathrooms, a kitchenette, etc.

I have a whole presentation thing on funding independent space I do for Kaaba in USGL.

You must have a very understanding landlord. Have you had to guarantee you will be leasing for a minimum amount of time and/or agreed to rip it all out again if/when you leave?

We're basically improving the space with added kitchen and bathroom, so we won't have to rip stuff out, but it's an investment lost when you move. We plan to stay there until we can buy, which will be 10 years or more.

R. and I will be there in Sept. for our honeymoon PLUS. I don't have your email in my address book. Please resend and I will let you know the dates.
