I like to make home baked challah for Erev Shabbat whenever feasible. The use of a bread machine for creating the dough has been a tremendous boon in this, because it means that once I get the ingredients in and the doughball to the right consistency, I can pay attention to other things. Lovely!

The egg-bread recipe I make most often in my bread machine (from start to finish; I haven't made just dough yet) calls for half a cup of oil, FYI.

How much flour does it use? I'd like to see if I can get a sense of the right ratio.
