wowee zowee... that's quite a story. i've heard of people buying those incredible places that have been standing empty the past 30 years, etc and remodeling the property themselves. talk about a labor of love!
how long did it take?
and, silly me, i hadn't realised you'd made those tiles yourself. i haven't clicked on your links yet (because i always get distracted by the links and often forget to come back and comment), but i will be visiting them in a few moments.
the us version of R4, i presume, is NPR. my husband always listens to it in the car, so we're half classy :D
Radio 4 is not quite what it was although I listen to Any Questions with Jonathan Dimbleby sometimes. Quiz shows and the news sometimes too thanks to hubby. When husband is not listening to music CDs it is the only radio station he will listen to.
Wonderful photos!
Glad you are cleaning toilets with the best of us! *smiles*
Especially love the snap of the rooftops. Brilliant. They fascinate me. I have often wondered if it is man's innate curiosity to summit things - or ones desire to see what get tossed "up there" out of sight.

You and the parsnip delighted me on food_porn and here you delight me once more. I have taken the liberty of adding you to my friends list. I pray you do not object.

Your payer is answered. My prayer is answered: Anarcho-Syndicalists Unite! Let's squabble about a few minor, earth-shattering details, and then part - the bitterest of enemies. Pierre-Joseph Proudhon delights me less than Mikhail Bakunin.

Conveniently enough, Proudhon delights me less than Bakunin as well. Bakunin has been known to delight me rather a lot. I've been taking this Imperial Russia class this semester, and have gotten to play with the Russian radicals of the latter half of the 19th century - oh but they are a fun lot!
